This week’s pattern is a fairly simple cardigan. It is stocking stitch with a double moss stitch yoke and a cute contrast collar, also in double moss stitch. I knit myself lots of things but end up not wearing them that often, and this is my solution. I wear black cardigans all the time but wanted it to be a bit different so added a pretty collar and some small mother of pearl buttons. (If you’re wondering where the name for this pattern came from, it’s actually one of my middle names :))
The cardigan is knitted in one piece up to the armholes then divided for the fronts and back, and the collar is picked up and worked after the rest of construction. Have a play with what colours would go well for your collar, I almost did mine a bright pink! The wool I’ve used is Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester DK, 100% British wool and it comes in a great range of colours. The pattern can be found here.
