Week 33-Valiant Cowl

This cowl is a nice quick knit. It uses less than one ball of Noro Tokonatsu, and is easily made in an evening, perfect for a last minute gift. As it’s a cotton and silk blend it’s lovely and soft around your face and not too warm for the late summer days where you just need that little extra warmth. Download it for free here

Week 32- Bachelor Pad

Bit of a contrast from last week’s cutesy baby pattern! This manly cushion features garter stitch, cables and bold stripe pattern and would go very well in a house with dark wood or neutral furniture. It is knitted in Rico Cotton Aran which is a lovely yarn and comes in lots of different shades, if you fancy a more delicate colourway. Find the pattern here.

Week 31-Lavender

Lavender is delicate baby jumper, with intarsia green sections for the leaves and textured stitches for the lavender flowers themselves. It is knitted in a lovely shade of Stylecraft’s Special DK called Parma Violet, one of their newer shades. It has green accents on the edges to add that extra little detail. I really like the end result of this pattern, and can’t wait to see a new family arrival wearing it soon! You can buy the pattern here!

Week 30 -Cosy Kindle Cover

This week’s pattern is a very quick one to knit. This textured kindle cover is suitable for most kindle types and is a pretty way to keep your kindle safe from knocks. It features moss stitch hearts along the bottom and a moss stitch envelope style top, no fiddly poppers or velcro. It is knitted in an aran weight, and barely needs any so great for using up any scraps you have left from bigger projects. Find the free pattern here.

Week 29-Miku Socks

This week’s pattern is very girly, you have been warned! Find it here!

These fluffy sparkly socks are just the cutest! They feature a lacy top and a large lacy frill on the ankle, perfect for pairing with ballet pumps or heels or just if you’re feeling a bit girly. These are very much inspired by a trip to Tokyo and all the kawaii fashion, the shoes in the pictures were ones I bought when I was there.

These socks only use one ball of Debbie Bliss party Angel which is slightly sparkly, or you can use the regular Angel if you wanted them a bit more plain. The frill is picked up and knitted after the socks so you could leave it out if you wanted some cute ankle socks 🙂
